Biases Against Men in Couples Therapy (Students/Non-CE)
Many therapists unconsciously pathologize masculine traits, apply double standards in interventions, presume perpetrator-victim dynamics favoring women, or invalidate some male experiences. This talk explores the origins and manifestations of these biases and their effects on men, women, society, and treatment. The talk also offers practical solutions for therapists.
