Four Overlooked Clinical Populations
This 2.5-hour on demand, non-interactive distance learning course will explore clinical issues that impact countless people but are overlooked. Some of these issues seem to be avoided because they run afoul of the dominant socio-political values in the mental health field. As a result, they’re under-addressed in the academic literature, therapist training, and clinical services. This course will explore four such issues: socially offensive thoughts in OCD, reproductive loss/abortion regret, therapeutic skill with gun owners, and therapeutic skill with religious patients.
