The Mental Health Costs of Self-Censorship and How to Help People Impacted by Censorship Culture (CE Credits)
This course will include four talks that examine: 1) the mental health benefits of open dialogue and the costs of censorship, 2) the experience of self-censorship, 3) false assumptions that can drive people to support censorship, and 4) evidence-based clinical tools to help people consider their decision to speak up or not, as well as strategies to engage others in dialogue if one does choose to speak.
